Nothing ruins a show like forgetting something important. Use this comprehensive checklist to prepare for your next art show or craft fair. Check items off as you pack — or print it out and take it with you.
Preparation Timeline
Two Weeks Before
Confirm booth assignment. Order any supplies you're low on. Print QR cards. Test all equipment (card reader, lights, canopy).
One Week Before
Do a full inventory count. Price all items. Prepare packaging supplies. Check weather forecast. Charge all devices.
Day Before
Load vehicle (heaviest items first, artwork last). Prepare cash box. Lay out clothes. Get a good night's sleep.
Morning Of
Arrive early. Set up structure first, then displays, then artwork, then lighting. Do a final walkthrough before doors open.
Keep a small emergency kit in your vehicle at all times: extra price tags, pens, tape, zip ties, business cards, and a basic toolkit. You'll thank yourself when you (or a neighboring vendor) forgets something essential.
🏷️ Don't Forget QR Cards!
Generate professional QR cards that link to AR previews. Let customers see your art on their wall after they leave your booth.
