Yes! We offer a free plan that includes all core features you need to showcase your artwork in AR. You can upload artwork, create AR galleries, and share your unique gallery URL with buyers at no cost.

We accept JPG and PNG image files up to 10MB in size. For best results, upload high-resolution images (at least 2000px on the longest side) with good lighting and accurate color representation.

Managing Your Gallery

Each artist gets a unique gallery URL (like printsonyourwall.com/@yourname) that you can share anywhere:

  • Add it to your website or email signature
  • Share on social media (Instagram, Facebook, Twitter)
  • Include in marketing materials and business cards
  • Generate QR codes for individual artworks

Buyers can view your entire gallery and experience any artwork in AR on their walls—no app download required!

Yes! You have full control over your gallery. From your dashboard, you can:

  • Edit artwork titles, prices, and descriptions
  • Update Fine Art America or external purchase links
  • Toggle artworks between published and draft status
  • Delete artworks permanently
  • Add or edit artwork stories for SEO

The Artwork Story feature allows you to add 1-3 sentences about the inspiration, medium, or mood behind each piece. When you add a story, we automatically create an SEO-optimized dedicated page for that artwork, helping it rank in search engines and giving buyers deeper context about your work.

Pricing & Sales

We don't process sales or take commissions. PrintsOnYourWall.com is a showcase platform, not a marketplace. You link to your existing sales channels (like Fine Art America, your website, or Etsy), and buyers complete purchases directly with you. You keep 100% of your sales revenue.

Absolutely! When uploading artwork, you can add a Fine Art America URL or any external purchase link. When buyers view your artwork in AR and decide to purchase, they'll be directed to your sales page. This makes PrintsOnYourWall.com the perfect complement to your existing print-on-demand business.

Tools & Features

Our AI-powered Social Media Caption Generator helps you create engaging posts for Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter. Simply upload your artwork image, select the platform, choose a tone, and our tool generates creative captions complete with relevant hashtags to boost your social media presence.

The Print Pricing Calculator helps you determine competitive pricing for your prints. Enter your dimensions, costs, and desired profit margin, and the calculator provides recommended pricing based on market standards and your input. It's a valuable tool for ensuring your artwork is priced appropriately.

Using AR to View Artwork

AR (Augmented Reality) lets you see artwork on your walls before you buy using your smartphone camera. Simply tap "View on Your Wall" when viewing artwork, point your phone at a wall, and the artwork appears in true-to-scale size as if it were already hanging there. You can walk around, get closer, and see exactly how it looks in your space with your lighting.

No app download required! AR works directly in your mobile web browser on both iPhone and Android devices. Just visit the gallery link, tap "View on Your Wall," and grant camera permission when prompted. It's that simple.

AR works on most modern smartphones:

  • iPhone: iPhone 6S and newer with iOS 12 or later
  • Android: ARCore-supported devices (most phones from 2018 onwards)

On desktop computers, you can rotate and zoom 3D previews, but the full AR wall-viewing experience requires a mobile device.

Yes! The AR view displays artwork in accurate, true-to-scale dimensions. If an artwork is listed as 24" × 36", that's exactly the size you'll see on your wall. This helps you make confident purchasing decisions knowing exactly how the piece will fit in your space.

Viewing & Navigation

Yes! With AR, you can view artwork on any wall in any room. Simply move to different rooms and tap "View on Your Wall" again. Many galleries also offer a "View in Room" feature that lets you preview artwork in sample rooms (office, living room, bedroom) with adjustable lighting before trying AR.

Currently, AR mode shows one artwork at a time for the most accurate placement experience. However, you can view individual pieces multiple times to see how different artworks would look in the same space before making your decision.

Purchasing Artwork

PrintsOnYourWall.com is a showcase platform, not a marketplace. When you find artwork you love, click the "Buy Print" button to be directed to the artist's sales page (often Fine Art America, their personal website, or another platform). You'll complete your purchase directly with the artist or their chosen vendor.

Prices displayed are set by the artist and typically reflect the base print price. When you visit the artist's sales page, you may see additional options for framing, canvas wraps, size variations, or shipping, which could affect the final price. Always review the complete pricing on the artist's sales page before purchasing.

Privacy & Security

Camera access is required to show you how artwork looks on your walls in real-time. The AR technology uses your camera to detect wall surfaces and place artwork in the correct position and scale. We don't store, save, or transmit any camera footage. The AR experience happens entirely on your device, and you can revoke camera access at any time through your browser settings.

Platform & Compatibility

PrintsOnYourWall.com works on all modern browsers:

  • Mobile: Safari (iOS), Chrome (Android/iOS), Firefox, Samsung Internet
  • Desktop: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, Edge

For the best AR experience, we recommend using the latest version of your mobile browser.

When you upload your artwork, our system automatically generates a 3D model using industry-standard GLB format. The image is texture-mapped onto a plane geometry with accurate dimensions based on the size you specify. This creates a realistic representation that maintains your artwork's quality and proportions in AR.

If you delete your account, all your uploaded artwork, 3D models, and gallery data are permanently removed from our servers. Your gallery URLs will no longer be accessible. We recommend downloading any images or data you want to keep before deleting your account, as this action cannot be undone.

Performance & Quality

For optimal AR quality:

  • Upload high-resolution images (minimum 2000px on the longest side)
  • Use JPG or PNG format with good compression balance
  • Ensure accurate colors in your source image
  • Photograph or scan artwork with even lighting
  • Enter precise dimensions for accurate scaling
  • Keep file size under 10MB for fast loading

AR loading speed depends on several factors:

  • Your internet connection speed
  • The size of the artwork file
  • Your device's processing power
  • Network congestion

For best performance, connect to Wi-Fi when viewing AR galleries. If issues persist, try closing other apps and browser tabs.

Yes. We use Firebase's secure cloud infrastructure for data storage and authentication. All data transmission is encrypted, and we follow industry best practices for security. Your artwork files are stored securely, and only you control what is published publicly in your gallery. We never share your personal information with third parties.

Troubleshooting

Try these troubleshooting steps:

  • Ensure you're using a compatible device (iPhone 6S+ or ARCore-enabled Android)
  • Update your browser to the latest version
  • Grant camera permission when prompted
  • Check that your device's camera is functioning properly
  • Try in a well-lit room with a plain wall
  • Restart your browser and try again

If AR still doesn't work, use the "View in Room" feature to preview artwork in sample room settings.

AR uses your room's actual lighting conditions, so the artwork appearance adapts to your environment. If it looks too dark, try viewing in a brighter room or during daytime with natural light. If too bright, the issue may be with your phone's screen brightness setting or the original image file. The "View in Room" feature lets you adjust lighting conditions to preview artwork in different settings.
